元来、協奏曲はソロ楽器と管弦楽のためにあるが、当時高校生であった、作曲者が使える表現手段が吹奏楽しかなかったため、管弦楽に替え、吹奏楽のためのピアノ協奏曲となった。但し、2楽章の前半では、ピアノとエレキベース・ドラムセットによるトリオによってセッションを行っており、ポピュラーのインストルメンタル音楽の成果を独自に取り入れている。後年創作された管弦楽のためのピアノ協奏曲では、原曲にストリングセクションを加える事で、40年間の創作上の工夫を取り入れている。Finaleを駆使する事で、原曲とストリングセクションを加えたものの二つを聴衆に直接同時に提供する事が可能になった。 Concerto had been originally created for a solo instrumental and orchestra. But Takehiko Sueoka was just a high school student and what he could use for his work was only his high school brass band. Therefore he created Piano Concerto for Brass Band instead of Orchestra. Furthermore, he absorbed the achievement of popular music in that age by adopting the session by piano trio (piano, electric base and drum set) at the former of second movement. He also created Piano Concerto for Orchestra later applying his 40 years experience and know-how by adding string section to the original he created at 16. Finale enabled providing the original and the work he added string section to audience directly at the same time. |
