 創作経緯
Background and Result of Creation
 末岡 武彦は大曲を創作する傾向があり、内容が伴う小曲を創作するのが課題であった。J. S. バッハからショパンやドビュッシーに至る伝統への憧れ、出来るだけ簡潔で短い曲を創作したいと言う願いから一連のシリーズを創作したが、主調の概念が無く、転調を随意に行う発想から24の調総ての楽曲を創作する発想は無かった。短い曲を創作しようとする意図はなかなか実現出来ず、長い曲が多い。
Takehiko Sueoka had tended to create larger pieces and it was his issue to create smaller valuable pieces. He created series of Prelude adoring the tradition from J. S. Bach, Chopin to Debussy and wanted to compose simple and short pieces as possible as he could. However, as he has no concept of keynote and changes note freely in each piece, he had no idea to compose in all the 24 notes. He could not always succeeded to create shorter pieces he intended and this series is included also long pieces.
