創作経緯とその後の活動 Background and Result of Creation	屋久島縄文杉二千年の歴史を十分二百小節の無伴奏チェロソナタで表現。屋久島縄文杉が生命活動を始めて二千年以上が過ぎ、J.S. Bachがこの世を去って二百四十七年が過ぎました。この曲は1997年に創作されましたがJ.S. Bachと皆様に聴いて欲しいと思います。紀元前??-屋久島縄文杉 1685-1750(貞享02年-寛延03年):J. S. Bach 1993(平成04年)：縄文杉・屋久島がユネスコ世界自然遺産に登録される。 1994(平成05年)-：J. S. Bachのモノフォニー（単一声部による音楽）(部分的にはポリフォニー(複数声部による音楽))をビオラ奏者ミルトン・トーマスの演奏による無伴奏チェロ組曲で研究 1997(平成08年)無伴奏チェロソナタ譜記 2013(平成25年)Finale2012による仮想演奏 2014(平成26年)TIAA全日本作曲コンクール入賞者披露演奏会で杉田一芳氏がチェロの実演を行う。 2015(平成27年)キーボードによる実演 2015(平成27年)無伴奏ヴィオラソナタ編曲 2015(平成27年)ルーマニア・トランシルバニア地方の空と空気、人間と自然が織りなす生態系に触発され、ヴィオラソナタに編曲 2019(平成30年)杉田一芳氏がチェロを再演 2019(平成31年)無伴奏ビオラダガンバソナタ編曲 I tried to express the great life history of Japanese cedar called “Jomon Sugi” who lives more than 2 thousand years in Yaku Island south to Kyusyu with 2 hundred lines in ten minutes. More than two thousand years passed since Jomon-Sugi had started his life, two hundred and forty seven years passed since J. S. Bach had left this world. I composed this piece in 1997 to ask J. S. Bach and global citizens to listen to. BC???? -present: Jomon-Sugi in Yaku Island 1685-1750: J. S. Bach 1993: Yaku island including Jomon-Sugi was listed in UNESCO's World Natural Heritage List. 1994-: Study of J. S. Bach monophonic music partially with polyphony by Takehiko Sueoka through viola performance of Six Suites for Cello Solo by Milton Thomas 1997: Takehiko Sueoka wrote down Cello Sonata Unaccompanied. 2013: Virtual Performance through Finale2012 by Takehiko Sueoka 2014: Real Cello Performance by Kazuyoshi Sugita in TIAA All Japan Composers' Competition Prize Winners' Concert 2015: Keyboard Performance by Takehiko Sueoka 2015: Takehiko Sueoka arranged to Viola Sonata Unaccompanied. 2015: Arranged into Viola Sonata Unaccompanied by impresssion of sky, air and eco-system nature and human create together in Transylvania of Romania. 2018: Kazuyoshi Sugita performed Cello Sonata Unaccompanied again. 2019: Takehiko Sueoka arranged to Viola da Gamba Sonata Unaccompanied.
楽曲構成 Structure of Music	主題３つからなるソナタ形式であり、展開部では第1主題と第3主題を融合させています。構成は次の４つから成り立っています。 Ⅰ．誕生の提示部　 Ⅱ．発展の展開部　 Ⅲ．悲劇の展開部　 Ⅳ．復興の再生部縄文杉を取り巻くドラスティックな物語をお愉しみ下さい。 This is a music piece including three themes adapting sonata form. In the two development sections I unified first and third themes. She has 4 sections. 1. Exposition Section of Birth 2. Development Section of Evolution 3. Development Section of Tragedy 4. Recapitulation Section of Recovery Enjoy the dynamic tale on Venerable Jomon Sugi and the environment around this very old large tree. ビオラダガンバはチェロと似ているが、近世欧州の室内楽器であり、弦の本数も音響構造も奏法も異なる。音量は小さいが、穏やかな音色であり、機能上豊かな和音も楽しめる。次の点に留意して編曲した。１．原曲の単旋律の簡素な表現を尊重しつつ、穏やかな和音も楽しめる様にした。２．７本の弦を持つビオラダガンバの特性を生かして分散和音の音数を増やした。 Viola da Gamba looks similar to Cello. But she is an instrument for Ensemble in the pre-modern era in Europe and originally different from Cello in the aspect of number of strings, acoustic structure and how to perform. Comparing with Cello, her sound volume is smaller but her tone color is calmer and we can enjoy her richer harmony because of more number of strings (7) than Cello (4). I arranged Cello Sonata Unaccompanied to Viola da Gamba Sonata Unaccompanied, considering two items as follows. 1. Keeping simple expression of Monophony the original piece has, I also tried to realize calmer sound with richer harmony. 2. Applying the 7 string of Viola da Gamba, I increased the number of sound in all the parts of arpeggio.

The world of Jomon-sugi, who lives more than two thousand years must be slow, peaceful and polite. Joy also calm and rich world of Viola da Gamba, adding to solo Cello music of simple and sturdy.
